Parents frustrated by Oshkosh school buses running off schedule

School bus drivers in Oshkosh are struggling to keep up with a new routes and schedules designed to cut transportation costs by a quarter-million dollars.

Multiple parents reported to Oshkosh Northwestern Media that their kids waited as long as an hour for buses to pick them up after school Tuesday. Some said the buses came earlier than scheduled in the morning or dropped their elementary- and middle school-age kids off at home as late as 5:45 p.m.

School lets out at 2:35 p.m. for elementary grades and 3:37 p.m. for middle grades. ...
