Started in 1993 with a $25,000 endowment, the Marshfield Area Community Foundation has grown into a $5.5 million fund, which has donated more than $3.8 million back to the community during its first 20 years.

"I suppose a lot of people don't know that much about the foundation. But it's done a lot of good things for the community," said Floyd Hamus, a longtime foundation supporter. Hamus and his wife, Pat, began donating and volunteering with the foundation shortly after its inception.
