Morgan Burnett joined Casey Hayward as the only active Green Bay Packers players not taking part in Friday’s final practice before Sunday’s regular-season opener against San Francisco.

Hayward has already been declared out for the 49ers’ game after aggravating his hamstring injury in an Aug. 23 preseason loss to Seattle, but Burnett practiced every day this week after missing last Thursday’s preseason finale against Kansas City with his own hamstring issues.

The move to sit Burnett could simply be rest-related, but Packers coach Mike McCarthy is scheduled to address the media at 12:30 p.m.
