Certain things always become indelibly etched in one's mind.

That initial smell of fresh-cut alfalfa, the adventure of changing a diaper the first time and, for about 1,000 youngsters at Plamann Park on Saturday, pulling on a jersey and buckling up the chinstrap on a helmet for the opening day of Pop Warner Football.

"This is really fun," said Cory Hudziak of the Hornets, whose team posted a 13-6 win over the Force in a Mighty Mites contest. "My dad said that he played it when he was little and I thought I would give it a try." ...
