A litter of yellow Labrador puppies involved in a court case has been ordered to be returned to the original owner.

Fond du Lac Judge Gary Sharpe ruled during a motion hearing on Sept. 4 that the seven puppies being sheltered at the Fond du Lac Humane Society be returned to Stacy Checolinski after they are clear of a parvovirus that killed three of the pups.

Checolinski, 32, faces 20 counts of failing to provide proper water and shelter to the pups. A plea and sentencing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Sept. 23. ...
