About 150 people gathered Saturday in Wausau to mourn the death of an Altoona woman, and to raise awareness about domestic violence.

The memorial service for Pa Nhia Vue, who authorities say was killed in June by her husband, and not given a proper burial, was held Saturday afternoon at the Elder Sanctuary, 215 E. Thomas St. in Wausau.

Rep. Mandy Wright, D-Wausau, who spoke during the service, applauded the event's organizers for highlighting the issue of domestic violence and encouraging women's rights. ...
