It takes a dedicated individual to promote his or her business in the bustling environment of the Central Wisconsin State Fair expo building on hot day, but year after year, home-business operators reach into their energy reserves, put on smiles, and seek out fairgoers.

"To succeed, you have to go outside your box a little bit and find your brave," said Joni Kurtzweil, of Wausau, a Tastefully Simple independent consultant who was selling products and meeting potential customers at the fair Thursday morning.
