Kaukauna teen's suicide draws quick response

School district offers help to those who might need it

The Kaukauna Area School District is reeling after a ninth-grade Kaukauna High School student killed himself Monday evening.

The teenager's suicide triggered a response from the district and a plea from Superintendent Mark Duerwaechter to any student struggling with suicidal thoughts.

"There is help for you - please share your feelings with somebody you trust," Duerwaechter said Tuesday. "The feelings that you have will get better, and we can help you resolve whatever may be your issue." ...
