Care INC Walk - raising awareness and raising funds for local needs. On Sunday, Sept. 29, all are invited to join in a relaxed three-mile walk through downtown Fond du Lac, to raise support for and awareness of local resources for the needy.

With several mini presentations along the way, walkers will have the opportunity to tour a variety of churches, service ministries and organizations in Fond du Lac. Walkers are encouraged to get sponsors who will make a donation to the cause. Of the monies collected from the walk, 100 percent will be distributed to area food pantries and other local organizations that serve the needy in Fond du Lac.

The Care INC Walk will run from 1 to 4 p.m. - beginning and ending at St. Paul's Cathedral. Afterwards, there's a spaghetti dinner at St. Paul's from 3 to 5 p.m. for anyone who wishes to come. A free-will offering will be taken for the meal.

St. Paul's will be donating a special trio of church mice to be given away in a raffle the day of the event, and other items will be up for silent auction. Proceeds from the meal and auction will be used specifically for the needs and operations of Care INC. Participants are welcome to attend either or both events as they desire.

Sponsor forms for the walk may be picked up at local churches. You can begin the walk anytime from 1 to 3 p.m. For more information, contact Pastor Jeff Blain at 922-3353 or Pastor Brian Hastings at 924-6857.

Care In the Name of Christ - Care INC - is a collaborative effort between Fond du Lac area churches and community agencies who work together to empower and assist people in fulfilling their physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
