Marge Wolf has seen thousands of children enter her Marshfield grocery store in her 54 years in business, but lately she's been especially concerned with the one who tried to rob her.

As the 13-year-old suspect's case winds its way through the juvenile justice system, the 96-year-old owner of Wolf's Grocery is hoping he has a brighter future.

Wolf said she had never encountered anything like the attempted robbery in July, when a person wearing a mask pulled out a knife and told her to open her cash register in the store at 713 E. Doege St., across from Madison Elementary School. ...
