Rhythm of life resonates wherever church gathers

The church marks the rhythm of life, from birth to death, with rituals set aside to help us remember the presence of God in everything that we do. This summer I was privileged to perform two sets of baptisms on two Door County beaches.

No, it was not in the church, there was no font, no candles and no organ music! There were just families, gathered with children; there was the expanse of Green Bay in the background, and the water for the baptism came from the lake. There were onlookers who were wondering what was happening. Some asked, others just stood in the background and watched.
