Oshkosh Corp., UAW to work on deal

Oshkosh Corp. and the United Auto Workers Local 578 will try for the second time this year to negotiate a five-year contract extension after union members authorized talks Tuesday.

The military vehicle manufacturer set a Sept. 30 deadline to reach an agreement for a contract that would run from 2016 to 2021 as it continues to pursue a multibillion-dollar military contract for the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle, or JLTV, which will replace the Humvee transport for the nation's armed forces.
