Neenah schools increase nursing time

Plan calls for trained staff members

The Neenah school board approved an administrative recommendation last week to contract for nursing services with ThedaCare and eventually train existing staff members to handle student medical needs.

ThedaCare will provide two full-time registered nurses who will write student health plans and oversee student medical care in Neenah at a cost of $177,840. Licensed practical nurses will be contracted through Preferred Home Health for the first four months of the school year for $40,000.
