Five Neenah schools earn wellness grant

Five Neenah elementary schools have been selected for "Movin' and Munchin'" grants by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction to boost their health and wellness programs.

Hoover, Spring Road, Taft, Tullar and Wilson Elementary Schools all earned a $250 grant from the DPI to assist with the program. Hoover and Spring Road also earned the grant last year.

Movin' and Munchin' takes an innovative approach to the problem of poor nutritional choices and lack of physical activity among school children. The program encourages schools to develop creative strategies to promote healthy ...
