As a junior in high school, the field trips and other class outings have been numerous for Kyle Kolb the last several years.

Yet, the journey taken by Kolb just three days into the new school year may be hard to top.

Instead of getting adjusted to his latest load of classes, which includes advanced-placement government and chemistry, at Bay Port High School, Kolb spent Thursday, Sept. 5, in Washington, D.C., at the request of his grandfather. ...
