The De Pere High School girls volleyball team is coming off one of its most successful seasons to date.

Not only did the Redbirds earn a share of the Fox River Classic Conference title with a 10-1 record in 2012, but they advanced to the WIAA Division 1 state tournament at nearby Resch Center for the second straight year.

Last year is in the past, however, and the Redbirds were faced going into this season with the challenge of replacing seven players from a squad that went 28-14 overall. Instead of being overwhelmed, the Redbirds are embracing it. ...
