Green Bay Packers safety Morgan Burnett, who sat out Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers with a hamstring injury, returned to practice on Wednesday.
It could be an indication Burnett will have a decent chance to play against Washington on Sunday in the home opener at Lambeau Field, although the Packers will be expected to take a cautious approach.
Sitting out of practice on Wednesday were left guard Josh Sitton and tight end Jermichael Finley, along with cornerback Casey Hayward.
Sitton and Finley attended practice but didn't participate in drills during the early portion open to the media. Neither player was mentioned on the injury report after the 49ers game on Sunday.
Starting right tackle Don Barclay shifted to Sitton's spot at left guard early in practice, with Marshall Newhouse playing at right tackle.
Other options for the Packers at guard are Greg Van Roten and Lane Taylor.
The extent of the injuries to Sitton and Finley likely will be addressed by coach Mike McCarthy at his press conference later Wednesday afternoon.
