WITTENBERG - Alissa Niggemann took fifth place overall and led the Amherst girls cross country team to a title at the Chargers Invitational on Tuesday.

Teammates Anja Werner (12th) and Lily Kraft (13th) had strong runs, as well. Bonduel's Marry Mews (16:44) won the 4,000-meter race.

Iola-Scandinavia took second place on the strength of two top-10 finishes and Shelby Trzebiatowski added an 11th place run. Emily Sether (17:05) took third place and Leighten Fischer took 10th place overall. ...
