CVA to unveil UW Colleges exhibit

The UW Colleges Art Department Faculty and Staff Exhibition opens Friday at the Center for the Visual Arts, 427 N. Fourth St., Wausau.

An opening gala will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sept. 20.

"The artists work in a broad range of mediums from printmaking and painting to sculpture, ceramics and mixed media," according to the CVA. Patrons can "view works created by professional educational artists who have developed their fine art skills through study and influence from master and contemporary artists."

The UW College system is comprised of 13, two-year campuses throughout the state including University of Wisconsin Marathon County.

The CVA is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays. The exhibit runs through Nov. 2.
