Apples by day, ale by night is how things are shaping up for Sept. 21.

The Oneida Tribe of Indians is hosting its annual Big Apple Fest during the day with plenty of family-friendly of activities including a trick pony, wagon rides, music and of course food. Even better: an apple pie contest with a top prize of $200.

The event runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Oneida Apple Orchard, 1 mile west of Green Bay on Wisconsin 54. Anyone interested in entering the apple pie contest must register by 1 p.m. the day of the event. For more details, call (920) 496-5020. ...
