Burnett, Sitton questionable for Sunday

Packers Morgan Burnett.
Packers Morgan Burnett.

Here are the highlights from coach Mike McCarthy's news conference Friday.

Morgan Burnett and Josh Sitton are both questionable to play in the Green Bay Packers' home opener against Washington on Sunday.

Burnett (hamstring) and Sitton (back) were both limited participants. Tight end Jermichael Finley (toe) and linebacker Nick Perry (stinger) are both probable.

Cornerback Jarrett Bush is questionable after sitting out Friday's practice with the hamstring injury he sustained at practice Thursday. Casey Hayward was the only other Packers player to miss practice.

*Morgan Burnett is further along than he was last week. How he comes in here tomorrow will determine if he plays. He did a little bit in team drills today. Heís like a quarterback. Heís got the most experience. Had an excellent camp. Took leadership role to next level. Very good football player. Makes a difference when heís in there.

*Josh Sitton was limited, looked good out there. Hopefully he progresses when he comes in tomorrow.

*Itís just the way it worked out as far as having a heavier team.

*Chris Banjo is ready to play. I look for him to take a step this week like all of our rookies need to.
