Prep football: Loudest cheer for Newman in win comes as female kicks extra point

Despite the chilly temperatures the Newman Cardinal offense was red hot racking up 568 total yards in a 58-21 win over the Chippewa Falls McDonell Macks at Stiehm Stadium.

Newman scored on the third play of the game when Eric Bychinski hit Broady Lemke for a 69 yard touchdown pass. After a three and out by McDonell, Newman got on the board again when Bychinski ran the ball in from 10 yards out to put the Cardinals up 14-0.

Despite a number of big plays from the Cardinals it was Newman's fifth extra point attempt that brought the biggest cheer from the crowd. ...
