North Abbey plans to open downtown on New Year's Eve

A new microbrewery and pub will settle into downtown Mosinee by the end of the year.

North Abbey Brewing Co. is expected to open on Dec. 31 at 401 Fourth St. in the building that formerly was occupied by Discount Liquidators.

Chad Hoffer, who owns the brewpub along with three business partners, said North Abbey will produce and sell microbrews created by himself and each of his co-owners along with having them on tap, akin to Red Eye Brewing Co., Bull Falls Brewery and Great Dane Pub in Wausau. ...
