A trilogy of three communities named Namur - one in Europe, one in Canada and one in southern Door County - converged in a festival with people from all three, including 20 from Door County on Aug. 1-7.
"This was three years in planning," said Bill Chaudoir, executive director of Door County Economic Development Corp. who also embraces his Belgian heritage as chairman of the Namur Belgian Heritage Foundation at the former St. Mary of the Snows church.
