Challenge Walkers have a good cause

I received news that the Challenge Walk MS will be going through our area next weekend, with a goal of generating more than $400,000 for multiple sclerosis-related research, programs and services.

More than 150 people will wind their way through the Door County peninsula Sept. 20-22 as part of the sixth annual Challenge Walk MS, a three-day, 50-mile walk that is one of only nine held in the U.S. each year for the cause.

The challenge comes in both the distance walked and the money raised. Participants walk 20 miles on Friday, 20 miles on Sept. 21 and 10 miles on Sept. 22, covering much of Door ...
