The fundraiser is set for the Zander Hughes Family Memorial Fund. The Fundraiser will take place at the Shack Sports Bar on Sept. 21.

Zander was the son of long time Fond du Lac residence Michelle and Paul Hughes. Zander died tragically in a pool accident at a home they rented in Florida. The purpose of the fund raiser is to help the family with transportation costs, burial and funeral costs. It was important to the family that he be put to rest in the city he was born in, and next to his grandmother, the late Donna (Krenn) Snyder.

Fundraiser will kick off at 11:30 a.m. With vendors, food, 50/50 raffles and silent auctions. The band The River Rats will start performing at 7: p.m.

The theme for the fundraiser is "Sports". A pool tournament, dart tournament, and washer box tournament are being held. Pre-registration for whatever "sport" you choose can be done in person or via mail at the Shacks Sports Bar W4768 State Road 23, Fond du Lac.

Pre-registration for each event is $10/per person in advance + one free raffle ticket. On the day of the event $15/per person. Participants must sign-in or register between 11:45 and 12:45 with all games starting at 1 p.m. sharp. Dice competitions will be held throughout the day.

For more information, or if anyone is interested in donating a item to be auctioned off, please contact Tammy Abel-Bevan 923-4355 or 238-5600.
