When Lynelle Kimps' son Colby came home with a permission slip to participate in a turkey hunt it was a surprise to say the least.

"I didn't like it at all," said Kimps. "I was scared to death to have him around guns."

Eventually she had a phone conversation with Chad Matuszak, a mentor with the Pulaski Area FFA/NWTF Learn to Hunt Program, who answered her questions and addressed her concerns. Then he talked her into joining them on the hunt. ...
