'Jacks hold off Terrors for 1st win

An opportunistic Wausau East football team forced four turnovers Friday night with the last one preserving its first victory of the season, and for the Scott Mallien era with the Lumberjacks.

East recovered a fumbled punt inside the West 20 with under a minute in regulation to hold on for a 35-32 win in a Valley Football Association North Division matchup at Lawrence University. The Lumberjacks (1-3, 1-1 VFA North) had a 35-3 lead in the third quarter before the Terrors (0-4, 0-2 VFA North) rolled off 29 unanswered points.
