Fall Harvest Festival

When: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday

Where: Snowshoe Park, Lake Tomahawk

What to expect: The Lake Tomahawk Lioness Club 24th annual Fall Harvest Festival features pumpkin arts and crafts, a farmers market and concession stand with caramel apples. The event serves as a fundraiser for the club. Donations have been given to the Wisconsin Eye Bank and local scholarships.

Ruffed Grouse Fall Festival

When: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday

Where: Downtown Park Falls

What to expect: The Park Falls community celebrates the vast outdoor resources and heritage of the area during Ruffed Grouse Fall Festival. Outdoor enthusiasts share collections of fur, traps and guns, and outdoor sportsmen demonstrate outdoor sporting and recreational skills. Carve and decorate pumpkins, eat pie and walk around a craft fair.

Detours & delays

Oneida County

Highway: Highway 70

Location: Between the north county line and Morgan Road

Schedule: Through late-September

Cost: $1.1 million

Description: Crews will mill the roadway and repave it with new asphalt.

Traffic impacts: Highway 70 will remain open to traffic during construction. Motorists can expect to encounter minor delays and flagging operations during daylight hours.
