In this era of high-flying circuses that pass for NFL offenses, accumulating 300 first-half yards remains an achievement worth noting.

Aaron Rodgers and his teammates deluged the Redskins in the opening two quarters Sunday afternoon at rain-dampened Lambeau Field. Yards fell like droplets of water as Green Bay jumped to a 24-0 halftime lead en route to soaking Washington 38-20.

For two quarters, the Packers poured it on. Some of the numbers they posted - 17 first downs; 373 yards - resembled those produced over the course of an entire game. ...
