"Wow, that bird has a lot of feathers." "I love walking on these trails." "I hope all these birds come to my new feeder; I made it all myself!" Those were some of the comments heard on Sept. 8 when more than 150 grandparents and families came to the Mead Wildlife Area in Milladore for the Grandparents Day event.

Highlights of the event included getting to see a live owl presentation given by Janet and Amber Eschenbauch with great horned and saw-whet owls and Pam Resech with her screech owl. Participants then got to create their own owls, ...
