Builder seeks OK for Kronenwetter subdivision; neighbors resist

About 10 residents have expressed concerns about a potential new development in their neighborhood that would take the place of conservancy land.

The Kronenwetter Plan Commission on Monday was unable to decide whether to change the conservancy zone to a single-family residential area to allow the construction of more than 50 homes in the middle of the neighborhood that includes Lea Street.

Commission members asked village employees for more information about the land and requested a groundwater test be completed before they recommend a zoning change to the Village Board. ...
