Fond du Lac Literacy Services is planning a Scrabble Bee fundraising event on Oct. 3. Teams will compete for highest scores and prizes.

The organization is seeking donations of new or gently used standard-sized Scrabble games to be used in the event. Boards missing tiles will be accepted. The games will not be returned.

Donations will be accepted at any of the three library locations - the Main Library downtown, the branch at Journeys inside St. Agnes Hospital or FDLPL Express near Festival Foods.

FDL Literacy Services provides free one-on-one tutoring for adults who struggle with reading, writing, math or learning English. It's located at the Fond du Lac Public Library.
