Credit union intern hopes to change banking in South Africa

Nomadelo Sauli is hoping a trip to Wisconsin will give her the tools she needs to help credit unions thrive in her home country of South Africa.

Sauli, 48, of Pretoria, South Africa, started a four-day internship at Central City Credit Union, 222 E. Upham St., on Monday after completing a weeklong Credit Union Development Education course in Madison. The educational trip was organized by the World Council of Credit Unions, a global trade association and development agency for credit unions.
