10 YEARS AGO: Central Wisconsin Country Dancers will celebrate its 15-year anniversary with at the American Legion Hall, Loyal. A couples dance class will be offered.

Silver Laces Figure Skating Club will register students for fall and winter classes at the Marshfield Youth Ice and Recreation Center. New and returning members are welcome.

25 YEARS AGO: Col. John H. Taylor has been decorated upon retirement from the United States Air Force, culminating 27 years in the military. He is the son of Elmer J. and Hattie J. Taylor, Rib Lake.

50 YEARS AGO: Earl Bemis was awarded a gun for first prize in shooting in the annual gun shoot at Neillsville. The Neillsville Gun Club sponsored the event at its range on Highway 10 west of Neillsville.

75 YEARS AGO: Plans are underway for a "Sales Mean Jobs" rally to be held at the Willard D. Purdy Junior High School auditorium. The program will be preceded by a banquet for merchants and sales people at Hotel Charles.
