The nine public school districts in north central Wisconsin posted solid marks on report cards released Tuesday by the state's Department of Public Instruction.

The Wausau, D.C. Everest Area, Merrill Area, Mosinee, Athens, Edgar, Marathon, Wittenberg-Birnamwood and Tomahawk school districts all met expectations under the fledgling DPI accountability standards, putting them in the middle of five categories ranging from "significantly exceeds expectations" to "fails to meet expectations."
