The Green Bay Packers will wear their throwback third jersey and uniform for the Oct. 20 game against the Cleveland Browns at Lambeau Field.

The jersey is similar to the 1929 jersey worn by the Packersí first NFL championship team. The navy blue top has a gold circle on the chest with navy blue numbers, the pants are tan and the socks are navy blue.

Because of new NFL helmet guidelines, however, the Packers will wear a stripped-down version of their normal gold helmets, instead of the brown helmets worn previously. There will be no G logo or stripes on the helmets.

The third uniform has been worn twice before, against the San Francisco 49ers on Dec. 5, 2010, and against the St. Louis Rams on Oct. 16, 2011. It was not worn last season.
