River District Theatre of Wausau will stage another of its intriguing, inventive biographic dramas at Chestnut Avenue Center for the Arts. "Lovers & Patriots: The Love Story of John & Abigail Adams" will be on the stage at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28, and plays again at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 29.

Featuring award-winning actors Lisa Burgess as Abigail and Gary Anderson as John, the piece tells one of the most moving "true love" stories in American history. It encompasses four years (1774 through 1777) in the lives of John and Abigail Adams.
