Oshkosh Pickleball Club holds first meeting

The Oshkosh Pickleball Club held it's first meeting Sept. 9 at Rainbow Park in Oshkosh. The club was started in the spring of 2013 to organize pickleball play for anyone in the Oshkosh area. The game of pickleball is similar to ping-pong, played on a small tennis court. The club received permission from the city to paint courts on the old ice rink at the Punhoqua Street end of Rainbow park last fall.

The meeting was held after the first summer of play. More than 30 members met to discuss such items as: purchasing equipment, maintaining the courts, and meeting in spring 2014. It was also ...
