In one breath, Rolf Johnson calls his impending departure from the Neville Public Museum of Brown County "bittersweet." In the next, he calls his new job "a dream come true."

Johnson announced Friday that he is stepping down as director of the Neville to become chief executive of the Wisconsin Maritime Museum in Manitowoc. The move, planned for Nov. 6, enables Johnson to live at a rural Manitowoc County homestead that has been in his family for decades.
