Late summer is a busy time for The Bee Guy.

Dennis Huber's business, The Bee Guy, handles - among other things - bee and wasp removal, the latter being particularly bothersome to some homeowners this time of year. While the business continues to grow regionally, there's also been an uptick in customer calls, which likely will be up between 40 and 50 percent this year from 2012.

"It's heavy," he said about call volume. "A lot of our jobs have more than one nest. It's yellow jacket time right now and many homes that I get to, there are three or four nests as opposed to going over there for one." ...
