Nerves were rattled and tempers flared recently when two Fox Cities residents attempted to visit the Appleton Downtown Farmers Market while openly carrying firearms. Tongues wagged as the national spotlight briefly focused on our community for a conversation about what is "appropriate" when it comes to the lawful carrying of weapons.
