SPASH grateful for pool revamp

The renovation of the Stevens Point Area Senior High pool is a much-needed facelift after decades of use, say district officials, while swim team coaches and staff members say the changes make them feel more at home.

The project, completed this past summer, cost about $120,000 said Don Keck, the district's building and grounds manager, and started last year when the tiles inside the pool were replaced. This past summer, a second phase of renovation saw the flooring outside of the pool replaced, new starting blocks and drinking fountains installed, and walls redone and painted in the school ...
