Wausau area residents likely will have to contend with another wet day today, but the sun is expected to come out for the weekend.

There's a 30 percent chance of showers, mostly after 2 p.m., according to meteorologists at the National Weather Service in Green Bay. The temperature will be fall-like, with a high of 66 degrees. Northwest winds will blow at 8 to 15 mph, gusting up to 23 mph.

Rain and clouds are expected to hang around the area late into the night, and with a low around 43 degrees.

Forecasters say Saturday will be mostly sunny with a high of 59 degrees.
