UWMC welcomes record number of international students

A record number of students from countries across the globe are attending the University of Wisconsin Marathon County this school year.

Ten students from countries including Russia, Mexico, China and Pakistan are taking classes at the two-year campus, up from only two international students last year.

The upswing is part of a concerted effort to bring in more international students to the University of Wisconsin's two-year campuses, said Franklyn Taylor, UWMC assistant dean for Student Services. ...
