Tim Buchholz and his wife, Anna Nummelin, are the captains of an adventure racing team Rib Mountain Racing and have qualified for the United States Adventure Racing Association National Championship.

The racing team is currently ranked fifth in the country. Additional team members are Erik Martinez, Jason Willems and J.J. Jehangir.

They will be traveling to Nashville, Ind., to compete in the 30-hour long national championship race Oct. 4 and 5. During the race, a three-person team must stay together for the full 30-hour race as they mountain bike, trail run, canoe and orienteer over the rugged off-road unmarked course, using only map and compass to find their route and plan strategy to each checkpoint and eventually the finish line.
