Teen Advisory Group seeks members

The Marathon County Public Library is looking for new members for the Teen Advisory Group, or TAG.

Teens in the group help choose books for the library collection, plan teen events at the library, volunteer and take on community service projects. The Little Free Libraries, for example, is a TAG project.

Teens interested in joining the Marathon County Public Library Teen Advisory Group can attend a new member meeting at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 1 at the Marathon County Public Library Wausau Headquarters, 300 N. First St., Wausau. Registration is required.

The MCPL Teen Advisory Group is a volunteer organization for Marathon County teens in grades six through 12 of the 2013-14 school year.

Membership forms are available online at http://www.mcpl.us/teenzone/tag. Return them to any MCPL location by Wednesday. For more information, call 715-261-7230 or email teenzone@mcpl.us.
