Prolamina, a flexible packaging company, has completed its conversion of the shuttered Kimberly-Clark Corp. diaper plant along North Green Bay Road.

The 250,000-square-foot facility, at 1055 Winchester Road, provides packaging services for the food, medical and specialty markets. The project, which was completed in phases, includes state-of-the-art equipment that allows Prolamina to engineer flexible packaging solutions, design high-definition graphics, manufacture laminates, print, laser score and convert flexible packaging solutions for the food and medical industries.

Designed with an open layout concept, the facility includes a mezzanine offering customers, employees and visitors a panoramic view of the manufacturing floor. LED lighting, window and skylight placement, and room occupancy sensors support Prolamina's green initiatives.
