Sept. 21, 1936 - School patrols in tenth year here: Green Bay's school patrols started their tenth year of service this morning with 143 boys on duty at 52 intersections. They were given supplies, furnished by the American Automobile Association, and instructions at two meetings last week.

The efforts of the boys will be augmented by the services of police officers at some of the busier intersections, but the bulk of the task of preventing accidents will be left to the young patrolmen.

In the nine years that the patrols have served here, escorting between 8,000 and 9,000 grade school children to and from school every day, no child has ever been killed at a protected crossing, and only one injured.
