Heart of Wisconsin Genealogical Society kicked off its fall meetings with a presentation on writing style and ideas for local stories by Rhonda Whetstone.

The Oct. 8 meeting will be our very own Andy Barnett from McMillan Library, sharing some interesting resources connected with Google Maps and their uses. We are also trying something fun and new for members with swapping our brick walls, we will revisit it in February to see how we all did. On Nov. 12, we will be tackling some of the stumbling blocks in the U.S. Census.

Meetings are held at 6:30 p.m. the second Tuesday of the month at McMillan Library in Wisconsin Rapids in the Multi-Purpose room on the main floor. All are welcome.

We hope you will join us for the programs, a business meeting will be held after each program.
